Our Lady of Joy Abbey has kept Trappist silence in a wooded Lantau valley since 1956, its name still famous from the cream-top milk the monks once bottled.

The cloister itself is closed, but quiet visitors may walk the Pax Intrantibus garden and chapel grounds on the classic Discovery Bay-Mui Wo coastal trail.
