One of Hong Kong's finest surviving scholar-gentry homes, built in 1865 and lavishly carved with Shiwan ceramics and stained glass.

Declared a monument in 1987, the San Tin mansion is free to visit (closed Tuesdays) and a quiet window onto Qing-dynasty village life.
