Japan's idol phenomenon is coming back to Kowloon. SKE48 bring their Asia Tour 2026 to Hong Kong for one night only on Wednesday 23 September 2026, taking over Mong Kok's Macpherson Stadium with a full-throttle set of singing, dancing and idol theatrics. Here is everything you need — the date, the venue, ticket prices and how to get there.

Who are SKE48?
SKE48 are one of Japan's best-loved idol groups, formed in 2008 as a sister act to the record-breaking AKB48. The name comes from Sakae, the buzzy entertainment district of Nagoya where the group is based and where it performs regular shows in its own theatre.
Like the wider 48-group family, SKE48 is a large ensemble that rotates its line-up across singles and tours. For this show, 16 members are scheduled to perform a set built around their signature high-energy pop, synchronised choreography and the warm, fan-first atmosphere the idol scene is known for. The Hong Kong date is one leg of a wider Asia Tour that also stops in Taipei.
When and where is the Hong Kong show?
The concert lands on Wednesday 23 September 2026, with the show starting at 8pm. The venue is Macpherson Stadium (麥花臣場館) in Mong Kok, a compact indoor arena that suits the up-close, high-energy nature of an idol gig. It is a mid-week, one-night-only date, so plan around a school-night or work-night finish.
If you are lining up a bigger season of live music, it slots neatly alongside the other acts in our round-up of the best concerts coming to Hong Kong in 2026, and the city's best live music venues.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are sold through Live Nation Hong Kong via the Cityline ticketing platform. There are four price points, with a premium VIP package at the top.

The top-tier VIP package (HK$1,299) bundles a standing ticket with priority entry, a group photo with SKE48 (in groups of ten) and an exclusive postcard set. The confirmed member line-up can change for travel or health reasons, so check the official listing before you buy.
Getting to Macpherson Stadium
Macpherson Stadium sits at 38 Nelson Street in the heart of Mong Kok, one of Hong Kong's densest and most fun neighbourhoods. The easiest route is the MTR: alight at Mong Kok station and leave via Exit D3, then it is a walk of roughly five minutes. Prince Edward station is a similar distance from the north.
Because it is a mid-week evening show, expect Mong Kok to be busy — come early, grab a bite on nearby Sai Yeung Choi Street and make a night of it. For more ideas, browse our pick of the best things to do in Hong Kong this week and the city's best nightclubs for an after-party.
