Hong Kong's reigning bagel authority has finally crossed the harbour. Schragels Delicatessen — already loved on Hong Kong Island for its New York-style bagels — has opened its first Kowloon shop in Tsim Sha Tsui, and it is the biggest Schragels yet, with a whole floor given over to workshops and events.

What is Schragels' new Tsim Sha Tsui shop?
Schragels is the New York-style bagel bakery that built a cult following on Hong Kong Island, and this Tsim Sha Tsui shop is its first foray into Kowloon. Founder Rebecca Schrage started the brand in Central before it grew to Sheung Wan and Sai Kung; Tsim Sha Tsui is the fourth address and, at opening, the largest of the lot.
The shop soft-opened in July 2026 across two floors: a ground-floor bakery and deli counter, plus a first-floor event space built for birthday parties, meetings and art workshops. There is a personal thread to the location, too — Schrage has said the neighbourhood is where her mother's family grew up, a minute's walk from the shop her mother used to walk past every day.
What's on the menu?
The headline act is still the bagel and schmear, baked fresh daily in five flavours — plain, poppy seed, sesame, everything and cinnamon — for HK$60. Since its July soft-opening, the Tsim Sha Tsui shop has expanded into a fuller all-day deli menu that its Hong Kong Island shops don't carry, including loaded bagel sandwiches from HK$95.
That expanded menu leans into Jewish and New York deli comfort food: a warming matzo ball soup (HK$95), a griddled patty melt (HK$165), and a nostalgic black-and-white cookie (HK$50) for afters. It is a wider spread than the original Central and Sheung Wan counters, reflecting the bigger kitchen the Tsim Sha Tsui site allows for.

Is it worth the trip to Tsim Sha Tsui?
For anyone who has queued for a Schragels bagel on Hong Kong Island, a Kowloon shop is reason enough to celebrate. But the Tsim Sha Tsui address is also the most complete version of the brand yet — the only one with a full deli menu beyond the bagel counter, and the only one with a dedicated events floor upstairs for workshops or private parties.
