juju world has landed at Pacific Place (太古廣場), and it is the most photographed thing in Admiralty this summer. From 23 July to 16 August 2026, Australian artist CJ Hendry fills the mall's Garden Court with a soft, surreal universe of floppy-eared plush characters — and walking in costs nothing. This is your guide to juju world at Pacific Place: what to see, when to go, and how the ticketed merchandise store actually works.

In short: juju world runs free at Pacific Place's Garden Court (Level LG1), Admiralty, daily 10am–10pm from 23 July to 16 August 2026. Three zones — juju Planet, the 400-plush juju Room and the juju Infinity Mirror — need no booking. Only the exclusive blind-box store, on Level L1, is ticketed.

What is juju world at Pacific Place?

It is a free, walk-in art installation built around a plush cartoon character called juju. Recognisable by its drooping ears and a single flower resting over one eye, juju began as the first collectible toy series by CJ Hendry, the Australian artist best known for hyperreal, large-scale drawings. This Pacific Place takeover is the character's biggest local outing to date.

Hendry designed the experience with creative production partner Pen & Paper, and the guiding idea is simple: take art off the wall and let people walk straight into it. Rather than watching from behind a rope, you step inside mirrored and plush-filled rooms and become part of the scene. It sits somewhere between an exhibition, a fantasy playground and pure collectible culture.

"I've always loved the idea of taking art off the walls and into people's hands," Hendry has said of juju — and at Pacific Place, you can quite literally walk inside it.

For a city that already treats its malls as galleries, it is a smart fit. If you enjoy this kind of large-scale public art, pair it with our guide to the best art exhibitions in Hong Kong this summer and the pick of Central's art galleries.

The three zones

The main installation sits in the Garden Court and is split into three connected areas. All three are free and open to everyone.

juju Planet

The sculptural centrepiece. Oversized jujus tower overhead in a brightly coloured universe of their own, the pastel figures stacked into soft, balloon-like columns beneath the atrium's glass ceiling. It is the shot everyone comes for.

juju Room

Step through and you are surrounded by more than 400 plush juju figures, wall to wall. It is playful sensory overload — and, for younger visitors, the clear favourite.

juju Infinity Mirror

A mirrored chamber that repeats juju's long ears and flower-covered eye through seemingly endless reflections. Time your photo when the room is quiet and the effect is genuinely hypnotic.

When should you go, and how do you get there?

Go on a weekday morning if you can. The installation opens at 10am, and the first couple of hours are far calmer than weekend afternoons, when families and collectors arrive in force. The whole thing is a short, flat walk from the MTR, so it is an easy add-on to a day in Admiralty or Central.

The blind-box store and prices

Here is the one part that is not a simple walk-in. The exclusive juju merchandise store sits separately on Level L1, near Lane Crawford, and opens 11am to 9pm. Because demand is high, entry is managed.

Pacific Place above members can redeem a store ticket through the mall's app using 1,000 points; otherwise, same-day queue tickets are handed out from 10am. Each ticket admits one visitor (who may bring one child aged 12 or below) and allows the purchase of up to 10 Hong Kong-exclusive blind boxes.

On what you will actually spend: the Hong Kong-exclusive blind boxes are HK$230 each, in a metallic tin, with nine standard designs and five rarer hidden editions. Capsule machines dispense interchangeable outfits, flower eyes and accessories for HK$40–80, and a 12-inch rainbow-gradient plush is HK$620. It is, in other words, easy to arrive for free art and leave having spent a fair bit — that is rather the point of collectible culture.
