Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and Hong Kong is spreading it across three weekends. The theme parks have been in Halloween mode since September, the Tourism Board's free street parties start on 17 October, and most of the ticketed nights land on 30 and 31 October. This page puts every event we could confirm on one calendar, date by date, with times and HK$ prices, so you can see what overlaps before you plan.

In short: Halloween is Saturday 31 October 2026. Ocean Park and Hong Kong Disneyland run their Halloween seasons to 1 November. The free Hong Kong Halloween Month street parties run on the Saturdays 17, 24 and 31 October, with Kai Tak on its own dates, 24–25 and 30–31 October. Saturday 24 October is the strongest day for families. The ticketed parties, the Wan Chai music carnival and a horror play at Xiqu Centre all start on 30 October. Themed trams and open-top buses run on six evenings from 6pm, for riders holding a ride ticket.

The frightening half of Ocean Park only runs on 9 to 11, 16 to 19, 23 to 25, 30 and 31 October and 1 November, from 5pm, and children under five cannot enter the haunted houses. Disneyland keeps its Halloween in daylight. Our theme park Halloween guide compares the two.

The five MTR malls each picked a theme for their first joint Halloween. THE SOUTHSIDE in Wong Chuk Hang has six toy-themed set pieces. The Wai in Tai Wai has about 50 characters from Hong Kong ghost stories, with a 5.5-metre fox spirit in the L2 atrium. Maritime Square in Tsing Yi has parked a six-metre UFO in its Phase 1 atrium, and PopCorn and The LOHAS in Tseung Kwan O went with zombies.

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October

The first Saturday of Hong Kong Halloween Month, and entry to the hubs is free in costume. Tsim Sha Tsui East's "TST East Halloween Beats" runs at Mody Road Garden from 4pm to 10pm, with DJs, a snack market and free children's games. Lan Kwai Fong has DJ sets at The Plaza from 7pm to 11pm. Central's Chater Road has a pickleball afternoon from 2pm to 8pm, and the Statue Square installations light up at 4pm. Kai Tak holds only a one-hour costumed flash mob at Kai Tak Mall 1 and 2, from 5pm to 6pm. Our guide to the five hubs sets out what each one is for.

Away from the hubs, The Wai's ghost parade goes round L2 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm, with breakdancers at 7pm and 8pm, and Maritime Square's aliens parade from 3pm to 5pm. The themed trams and open-top buses run from 6pm on both evenings.

On Sunday 18 October, OPEN by HE.R puts a ticketed outdoor dance party on Chater Road from 3pm to 10pm, with ANDHIM headlining; tickets are sold through Ticketflap. Maritime Square's drone show flies at 3pm and 4pm in the Phase 1 atrium. THE SOUTHSIDE also lists a Halloween run with a running club from 5pm to 7pm on 18 October, but its own page calls that date a Saturday, so confirm the day on the mall's social media, where sign-up happens.

Monday 19 October is a public holiday, the day after Chung Yeung, yet Ocean Park prices it as a non-peak date. The haunted-house combo is HK$238 that day against HK$280 on the later peak dates.

Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October

Festival Walk's Glacier rink in Kowloon Tong runs a Halloween skate night with Cantopop and cartoon theme songs on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October, 8pm to 11pm (doors 7.30pm), with a best-dressed contest. It costs HK$280 with skates or HK$100 for the music party only, on Klook, and tickets cannot be refunded. Check the date on the listing before you book.

Saturday 24 October is the best family day of the month. Central's Monster Mash Fest takes over Chater Road from noon to 9pm, free, with face painting, food stalls and a bouncy castle that charges per session. Kai Tak Sports Park's party opens at Dining Cove from 2pm to 11pm (and again on Sunday), with a Halloween market, music shows and a costume catwalk for families and pets. In Tseung Kwan O, The LOHAS runs children's games on 3/F from 3pm to 6pm (children have to register first), and PopCorn has a zombie dance party in its 1/F atrium from 6pm to 9pm.

In the evening, THE SOUTHSIDE turns its outdoor plaza into a free Cantopop night: The Flame play from 6pm, then Shiga Lin, Honey Punch and the Cantomania DJs from 7pm to 10pm. TST East and Lan Kwai Fong repeat their Saturday programmes. For something quieter, M+ Cinema screens the restored Kwaidan (1965), Masaki Kobayashi's four-part ghost film, at 7pm. It runs 183 minutes and costs HK$85, or HK$68 for concessions.

Across both days, Card Festa Asia holds a Halloween edition of its trading card show at AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 10, noon to 9pm. Entry is HK$40, or HK$180 for VIP, and anyone in costume gets a free booster pack while stocks last. On Sunday 25 October Kai Tak's party runs again and Maritime Square's drones fly at 3pm and 4pm.

One clash to know about: The Weeknd plays Kai Tak Stadium on 24, 25, 30 and 31 October from 8.15pm, the same four days as the Kai Tak party, so expect Sung Wong Toi and Kai Tak stations to be packed from early evening.

Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 October

On Wednesday 28 October, the all-women comedy group Bitches in Stitches does a Halloween stand-up show, BITE ME!, at The Aftermath, 57-59 Wyndham Street, at 7.30pm (doors 7pm). Tickets are HK$150 to HK$200 and it is 18 and over. On Thursday 29 October, the Fringe Club holds a Halloween salsa party from 9pm for three hours, with a beginners' lesson and no partner needed, HK$150 early bird or HK$200 through Art-mate.

Friday 30 October starts the long weekend. Spooky Halloween 2026 opens at the Wan Chai Harbourfront Event Space, 3 Hung Hing Road. Its Carnival Zone runs 4pm to 10pm (HK$170 for adults, HK$50 for 17 and under, before a 10% handling fee; the organiser does not recommend it for children six and under), and the 18-plus Mainstage runs 6pm to 10.30pm at HK$998 with the fee. Our Halloween parties guide has the line-up and the ticket rules.

At Xiqu Centre in West Kowloon, the horror stage play 《鬼到盡頭》 begins its run in the Grand Theatre. Klook lists performances on 30 and 31 October, 1 November and 3 to 8 November, at 3pm and 8pm, with tickets from HK$388 to HK$1,288 plus a HK$42 fee, for ages 12 and over. It is performed in Cantonese. Justin Lo's two Halloween shows at the Bamboo Theatre in West Kowloon, on 30 and 31 October, are already sold out on Klook.

Tai Kwun is holding its first Halloween event, FRAMED, in the Prison Yard from 7pm to 10pm on 30 and 31 October. The idea is an art-inspired costume and a map of the compound's bars, and guests in costume who sign up as TK FANs in the Tai Kwun app get a first drink free while stocks last (18 and over). We could not open Tai Kwun's own page, so treat these details as announced and check before you go.

For the night itself, Eaton HK on Nathan Road in Jordan has two: DragJam's drag show Ghouls Night Out at Terrible Baby from 9.30pm (about HK$265 with the booking fee), and a beer party, Hops & Spells, at Flower Years from 7pm to 11pm (HK$250 for two drinks and a snack box, or HK$400 for three hours of free-flow). In Lan Kwai Fong, Shuffle starts its two-night UNHOLY party: HK$300 to HK$500 a night with three drinks, or HK$800 for both nights, strictly 18 and over with physical ID. Its Eventbrite page gives a 10am start, which looks like a typo, so check the time. OMA on Wyndham Street has a drum and bass all-nighter with Makoto from 11pm to 7am, HK$150 to HK$250. Kai Tak's Dining Cove party and PopCorn's DJ party (7pm to 9pm) run too, and the trams and buses are back from 6pm.

Saturday 31 October: Halloween

In the daytime

The street parties start early. Central's Chater Road runs from 2pm to 1am, Kai Tak's Dining Cove from 2pm to 11pm and TST East from 4pm to 11pm. Spooky Halloween's Carnival Zone in Wan Chai opens at noon.

For children, the malls are the easier bet. At The Mills in Tsuen Wan, candy ambassadors hand out sweets to children in costume and there is a kids' catwalk from 3.30pm to 5pm (HK$30). Maritime Square flies its drones at 3pm and 4pm and parades its aliens from 7pm to 9pm. The LOHAS runs children's games from 3pm to 6pm. The Wai holds its last ghost parades at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

Discovery Bay's Spooky Chills Fun Day runs on 31 October and 1 November with about 20 free activities. The Standard reported on 28 September that there will be a night market of around 60 stalls at DB Plaza, a parade of 30 costume finalists from D'Deck to DB Plaza, a pet market at DB North, a charity pet walk and a pet party at Garden Toscana, with free buses and ferries at set hours. Times had not been published when we checked, so look for the schedule on the Discovery Bay website. Auberge Discovery Bay sells a one-night Halloween and Día de Muertos package for 30 or 31 October, from HK$2,088 plus 10% service and 3% tax, with a Mexican dinner buffet, breakfast and a workshop for two.

Two candlelit string concerts by EGA play at 6pm and 8pm, one at The Peak Galleria and one at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum. Each lasts an hour and costs HK$450, or HK$810 for two, with no entry for children under three.

At night

Lan Kwai Fong is the city's biggest Halloween crowd, and the night is governed by crowd control rather than a programme. The Police and the Lan Kwai Fong Association normally publish road closures and one-way walking routes in the last week of October, and we will add them to our Lan Kwai Fong Halloween page when they appear. Free, and much easier to stand in, is THE SOUTHSIDE's Asian Wave night in Wong Chuk Hang, with DJs 黃志淙 and DEANZ from 7pm to 10pm.

Getting home is the part to plan. The last themed tram leaves Causeway Bay at 10.15pm and the last open-top bus at 11.15pm, and MTR does not run extra late trains for Halloween, so check the last train from your station before you go out. Sunday is not a working day, which helps.

Sunday 1 November: the last day

It is the final day of both theme-park seasons, and Ocean Park's haunted houses open one last time from 5pm. Spooky Halloween closes with its R&B night, Ne-Yo headlining the Mainstage; with children, the quieter window is the Carnival Zone from noon, before the music starts at 6pm. Discovery Bay's Fun Day continues, The Mills holds a pet catwalk from 3.30pm to 5pm, and the MTR malls' programmes end. 《鬼到盡頭》 keeps going at Xiqu Centre until 8 November.

Who should skip Halloween night?

If you are bringing children under about seven, or you do not enjoy standing in a crowd that barely moves, stay away from Lan Kwai Fong and Chater Road after dark on 31 October. Saturday 24 October gives you a free family day in Central, the Kai Tak party and a free concert at THE SOUTHSIDE without the Halloween-night crush. Adults who want the costumes without the queues get the same hubs, with room to move, on 17 and 24 October.

Dates, times and prices were checked on 11 October 2026 against each organiser's own page or ticket listing: HKTB's Halloween event page, the Halloween in Central site, the Lan Kwai Fong Association, Kai Tak Sports Park and Tsim Sha Tsui Centre's announcements, THE SOUTHSIDE's MTR Malls pages, The Mills, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre's release, M+, AsiaWorld-Expo, Klook, Eventbrite, Resident Advisor, Riffspass, KKday, SevenRooms, Zuma, Auberge Discovery Bay, the Fringe Club and HK01 Space. Where an organiser's page could not be opened (Tai Kwun, Discovery Bay), we say so above.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Halloween in Hong Kong in 2026?
Halloween is Saturday 31 October 2026. The season is longer: Ocean Park and Hong Kong Disneyland run Halloween programmes until 1 November, and the Tourism Board's Hong Kong Halloween Month street parties run on 17, 24 and 31 October, with Kai Tak on 24–25 and 30–31 October.
What Halloween events in Hong Kong are free?
The five Hong Kong Halloween Month hubs are free in costume, as are the Statue Square installations in Central, the MTR malls' programmes, THE SOUTHSIDE's two Saturday-night concerts, The Mills' animal show, Tai Kwun's FRAMED and Discovery Bay's Fun Day. The themed trams and buses need a ride ticket from a participating merchant.
Where can you take young children for Halloween in Hong Kong?
Disneyland's daytime Halloween, Ocean Park's daytime programme, Central's Monster Mash Fest on 24 October and the mall programmes in Tai Wai, Tsing Yi, Tseung Kwan O and Tsuen Wan. Our Halloween with kids guide covers the age rules.

Plan around the 24th

Halloween night is the loudest date, not the best one. Saturday 24 October has the family day, the Kai Tak party, a free Cantopop night and a ghost film at M+, and the crowds of the 31st are still a week away.
