Wu Kau Tang 烏蛟騰
A 400-year-old Hakka village wrapped in Plover Cove Country Park, Wu Kau Tang is the gateway to some of Hong Kong's most beautiful north-eastern hikes.
Known for clouds of butterflies, a defiant 'five-finger' camphor tree and restored village temples, it is the trailhead for routes to Lai Chi Wo and Double Haven (bus 275R on Sundays).
