Tung Chung Battery 東涌小炮台
Built in 1817 to guard Tung Chung Bay against pirates, this small Qing-dynasty gun battery lay buried under undergrowth for a century before its rediscovery in 1980.
Now a declared monument near Ha Ling Pei village, the restored L-shaped emplacement is a quiet historical stop, distinct from the larger Tung Chung Fort nearby.
