Built in 1767, Stanley's Tin Hau Temple is one of Hong Kong Island's oldest, raised by a fishing community to honour Tin Hau, the goddess of the sea.

Now a declared monument beside Stanley Plaza and the waterfront market, it still draws worshippers beneath its incense-darkened beams.
