An easy paved climb above Kennedy Town, the 269m Mount Davis rewards walkers with sweeping western-harbour views and the atmospheric WWII gun emplacements and barracks of the old Mount Davis Battery.

The roughly 45-minute ascent past the youth hostel makes a breezy half-day escape, with sunset over the western approaches the reward at the top.
