Hung Hom's much-loved Kwun Yam Temple has watched over the neighbourhood since 1873, dedicated to Kwun Yam, the Goddess of Mercy.

It comes alive each lunar new year for the 'Opening of the Treasury' ritual, when devotees queue to symbolically borrow good fortune for the year ahead.
