Hung Shing Temple, Ap Lei Chau 鴨脷洲洪聖古廟
A declared monument built by the local fishing community in 1773, Hung Shing Temple is Ap Lei Chau's main temple and one of the few in Hong Kong to keep its original sea-facing fung shui setting.
Inside are Qing-dynasty relics including a bronze bell cast in 1773 and Shiwan pottery, and the Hung Shing Festival on the 13th day of the second lunar month is still the island's biggest celebration.
