I.M. Pei's prismatic Bank of China Tower has sliced the Central skyline since 1990, its glass-and-steel triangles modelled on the upward growth of bamboo shoots.

Long one of Hong Kong's most photographed buildings, it is best admired from the quiet terraced gardens and waterfalls tucked around its base.
