For two weeks in September, Hong Kong's shopping malls turn into runways. "Wear's HK", a citywide fashion pop-up organised by the Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA), lands in six of the city's biggest malls and its international airport from 1 to 14 September 2026, putting 20 homegrown designer labels in front of shoppers who can try on and buy on the spot.

What is "Wear's HK"?
"Wear's HK" is a 14-day citywide fashion retail initiative organised by the Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), running as a flagship programme of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest. Built around the theme "Strategic Retail Integration for Emerging High-Value Design," the project moves 20 local designer brands out of showrooms and into six of the city's highest-footfall retail spaces, from mall atriums to the departures level of Hong Kong International Airport.
The goal is explicitly commercial as much as cultural: CITA describes the initiative's three objectives as driving revenue, expanding markets and nurturing local talent, giving designers a chance to test their collections in real commercial settings rather than one-off showcase events. For shoppers, it means a rare chance to see, try on and buy directly from Hong Kong-designed labels that don't usually have standalone retail space.
Who are the designers?
The 20-strong line-up spans couture, streetwear, sustainable fashion and gender-fluid design. Among the confirmed names: PONDER.ER, the genderless fashion label from Alex Po and Derek Cheng, finalists for the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers and winners of the Yu Prize 2022, who have also collaborated with the Hong Kong Ballet; THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER by Calvin Chan and Joyce Kun, named among Fashion Asia Hong Kong's "10 Asian Designers to Watch"; NONOBO by Christy Fok, a multidisciplinary designer and illustrator working at the intersection of wearable art; and DEMO by Derek Chan, a two-time "10 Asian Designers to Watch" honouree and winner of Designer of the Year – Menswear in 2016.
All 20 designers also feature in a companion exhibition at the Common Arcade, 1/F, Jardine House, Central, running the same 1–14 September dates. Fashion-industry watchers may also want to note the Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) 2026, a related international summit themed "Code the Fashion Forward" at the Hong Kong Palace Museum on 3 September.
