Anime-rock crossover TOGENASHI TOGEARI — the real-life five-piece band behind Toei Animation's GIRLS BAND CRY — is playing its first-ever solo Hong Kong show. TOGENASHI TOGEARI Live in Hong Kong 「凍音の理」 lands at AsiaWorld-Expo on Friday 2 October 2026, giving the city's anime and J-rock fans a first look at the band that grew from a fictional anime act into a genuine touring outfit.

Who is TOGENASHI TOGEARI?
TOGENASHI TOGEARI started life as the fictional band at the centre of GIRLS BAND CRY, the Toei Animation series that aired in Japan from 6 April to 29 June 2024. Unusually, the five members — Rina (vocals), Yuri (guitar), Mirei (drums), Natsu (keyboard) and Shuri (bass) — were cast as real musicians through the "Girl's Rock Audition," a talent search that ran for over a year from June 2021 and drew more than a thousand applicants.
Since the anime wrapped, the band has kept performing and releasing music as a genuine act rather than a one-off promotional gimmick, including a second solo live, "Rinne No Kotowari," in September 2024 and a third, "Houkou no Kanade," streamed globally on Beyond LIVE in November 2024. The Hong Kong date extends that same real-world touring arc — not a screening or a fan event, but a full live set from the band.
Dates, venue and how to get there

Take the MTR Airport Express to AsiaWorld-Expo Station, the line's western terminus — about 28 minutes from Hong Kong Station in Central. The station is built into the venue, so there's no street walking once you step off the platform. Because AsiaWorld-Expo sits next to Hong Kong International Airport on Lantau, build in extra travel time from town.
Ticket prices and where to buy
Tickets went on public sale on 11 August 2026 at 10:00am through Trip.com, per the official event listing on Timable HK. The price grid runs from HK$688 for a Zone C seat up to HK$1,588 for a V-VIP ticket, which adds a Hi-Bye meet-and-greet-style session with the band plus an exclusive tote bag.
This is currently the band's only confirmed Hong Kong date this touring cycle, and it follows an on-stage announcement at CON-CON HK in April 2026 that reportedly drew a full house of local fans. If you're building a wider night out around the show, our guide to Hong Kong's best live music venues and roundup of the year's biggest concerts both cover what else is worth catching around the same window, including ITZY's AsiaWorld-Expo show and LANY's Hong Kong date at the same venue.
Good to know: AsiaWorld-Expo shows routinely sell out standing zones close to doors, and the Airport Express fills up fast once a concert lets out at 10pm — if you're heading back into town, plan your route home before the encore rather than after.
