The tie-up pairs McDonald's with G-Dragon's fashion label PEACEMINUSONE, whose signature "broken daisy" logo appears throughout the campaign's packaging alongside a specially designed red heart version of McDonald's own branding. A teaser clip released ahead of launch shows G-Dragon leaning against Ronald McDonald while scrolling his phone, closing on the tagline "You lovin' it." Redemption details for the merch drop are expected to be announced later this week via McDonald's Hong Kong's official channels.

The centrepiece is a new Korean spicy butter sauce, developed and shipped in from McDonald's Korea, which blends the heat of Korean chilli paste with a smooth, buttery finish. It headlines a new Korean Spicy Butter Crispy Chicken Thigh Burger (built on a full chicken thigh cut, with pineapple and crisp romaine), and can also be ordered as a dip with Chicken McNuggets. Alongside it, the limited-time line-up includes a Jeju tangerine coconut soda; two flavours of Shake Shake Fries (a new Korean BBQ flavour and the returning Honey Butter); a "Sweetheart Crispy" Oreo® McFlurry®; and Korea-imported salted caramel mini crisps. Everything ships in themed packaging carrying the PEACEMINUSONE daisy motif.

Hong Kong, South Korea and the Philippines are the first three markets live, with the campaign due to expand into India, Thailand and Taiwan in the weeks that follow.

The merch drop dates

Beyond the food, McDonald's Hong Kong is staggering three separate release moments to keep the campaign running for over a week. Food items launched 17 September; a set of "I'M M FAN" collector cards follows on 21 September; and the most-anticipated piece, PEACEMINUSONE-branded merchandise, drops on 23 September. Previewed items include a vintage-style cap resembling the one G-Dragon wore in his 2025 "Too Bad" music video, several designs of metal pin badges, and a canvas tote bag printed with both the McDonald's and PEACEMINUSONE logos. Exact redemption terms (purchase thresholds, in-store versus app, stock limits) had not been published by McDonald's Hong Kong at the time of writing.
