Joji plays Hong Kong for one night only on Sunday 29 November 2026. The show is all standing at AsiaWorld-Expo Runway 11, tickets start at HK$699 face value, and Cityline has already been selling them since 30 April. The decision left for a reader today is not whether tickets exist. It is whether a general standing ticket is enough, whether VIP is worth the jump to HK$1,999, and how early you need to be in the holding area if your queue number matters.

When and where is Joji playing in Hong Kong?
One show: Sunday 29 November 2026, 8:00pm, at AsiaWorld-Expo Runway 11 (Hall 11), next to Hong Kong International Airport on Lantau. The promoter is Live Nation (HK). The official Cityline listing and the venue page both describe it as all standing.
Runway 11 is a 4,400 sq m, column-free hall on the ground floor with published capacity for events of roughly 500 to 3,800. Treat that as the venue's general range, not a Joji-specific sell-out figure. Door times on the day can still move for safety or weather; Cityline says the organiser may change them.

How much are Joji Hong Kong tickets, and what does VIP add?
Cityline publishes two headline bands: general standing from HK$699, and VIP packages from HK$1,999. On top of face value, the general-onsale service fee is HK$100 per ticket. Budget for that before you compare VIP with general.
Published ticket tiers
| Ticket | Face value | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| General standing | From HK$699 | Standing entry; queue number decides holding-area order |
| JOJI VIP | From HK$1,999 | Standing ticket, limited-edition VIP merch, commemorative interactive ticket, laminate and lanyard, early entry (2nd tier), priority merch shopping if on site |
| JOJI VIP+ | From HK$1,999 band | Everything in VIP, plus an exclusive video screening at the venue, a VIP tour poster signed by Joji, and early entry in the 1st tier |
Source: Cityline listing, checked 23 October 2026. VIP experience timings are confirmed closer to show day on Live Nation HK channels; latecomers are not admitted to VIP activities and unredeemed benefits are forfeited.
The useful split is not “VIP or not” as a brand. It is 1st-tier early entry plus the signed poster and screening (VIP+) versus 2nd-tier early entry without those extras (VIP). If you only care about being near the stage, a low general queue number can matter more than a VIP laminate. If you want the merch bundle and guaranteed earlier hall access, VIP is the product; VIP+ is the version with the signed poster and first-tier entry.
Tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Lost or damaged tickets are not reissued. Maximum six tickets per transaction on the general sale.
Standing queue numbers and the holding area
This is the part most press write-ups skip, and it decides your night more than the HK$699 headline.
AsiaWorld-Expo and Cityline publish the same standing-zone rules for this show:
- The holding area opens about four hours before show time (so around 4:00pm for an 8:00pm start), subject to change on the day.
- Standing ticket holders queue by zone/section and the queue number printed on the ticket and confirmation email. That number is generated automatically after each successful purchase.
- Hall admission for standing starts about two hours before show time, by queue number.
- Once hall admission has started, the printed queue number stops counting. Arrive late and you enter only after everyone already in the holding area has gone in.
Express lanes are available for people not carrying bags or backpacks, when the venue opens them. Expect a handheld metal detector check and a security wristband. Re-entry needs the re-entry token, the original ticket and the wristband.
Bags, age limits and who should skip this show
Standing is restricted to people aged 12 or above who are also at least 140 cm tall. Cityline is explicit: there is no refund if you are refused at the door for age or height. Anyone under those limits should not buy this show at all; there is no seated alternative on the listing.
Bag rule: nothing larger than 38 × 30 × 20 cm. Professional cameras, video or voice recorders, stools, folding chairs and long umbrellas are barred from the hall. Restricted items go to the baggage counter or ground-floor lockers. No outside food or drink, no selfie sticks, no balloons, no drones. The performance may use strong strobe lighting and smoke.
Physical tickets are not day-of e-tickets only. Self-redemption at Cityline ticketing kiosks (Redeem Code and Redeem Password) and delivery both start from Friday 13 November 2026 at 12:00nn. Leave a buffer before show day; the venue has a limited number of kiosks.
Getting to AsiaWorld-Expo on show night
The venue sits at Hong Kong International Airport on Lantau. The Airport Express stops at AsiaWorld-Expo Station inside the complex, which is why this is usually the cleanest big-venue trip in Hong Kong.
Airport Express adult Octopus fares to AsiaWorld-Expo
| From | Single (Octopus) | Same-day return special* |
|---|---|---|
| Hong Kong Station | HK$120 | HK$85 |
| Kowloon Station | HK$105 | HK$78 |
| Tsing Yi Station | HK$73 | HK$53 |
*Special same-day return fares apply when you use the same Octopus / contactless bank card / QR code both ways and stay at AsiaWorld-Expo for at least one hour between exit and re-entry. A free same-day return also exists on the ordinary Same Day Return product when you meet MTR’s conditions. Fares from the MTR AsiaWorld-Expo return offer page, checked 23 October 2026.
Hong Kong Station to AsiaWorld-Expo is about 28 minutes on the Airport Express. Use the same Octopus or card both ways if you want the return offer. Leaving after an 8:00pm show, give yourself a real buffer for the last trains rather than cutting it fine at the gate.
Buses also serve Airport Expo Boulevard and the airport Ground Transportation Centre; AWE has noted that some printed pre-2026 directions to the old SKYCITY Transport Terminal stop are out of date, so follow current venue and MTR signage on the night.
Same early-December cluster at AWE
Joji is the first of three standing Live Nation / Cityline nights at AsiaWorld-Expo in the same stretch: Joji on 29 November (Runway 11), then Khalid on Tuesday 1 December in Hall 10 (from HK$699, VIP from HK$1,999, same 12+ / 140 cm standing rule on the Cityline listing), then FKJ on 3 December. If you are choosing one R&B / alternative night rather than three, Joji is the 29 November Runway 11 slot; Khalid is the next Tuesday in Hall 10. Our best concerts in Hong Kong 2026 hub tracks the wider calendar, including stadium shows such as The Weeknd at Kai Tak.
