What is FLOCKFEST?
FLOCKFEST 2026 is a new three-day craft beer and live music festival hosted by Hong Kong brewery Black Kite Brewery in PMQ's central courtyard, the former Police Married Quarters turned design and retail hub in Central. It is a beer-first event built around collaboration brews between local and visiting breweries, paired with a stage of homegrown indie musicians and a small line-up of street food vendors.
Entry is free, with drink and merchandise packages sold separately (via Klook, at time of writing "coming soon"). That makes it one of the more accessible festival formats on the city's September calendar — you can walk in, sample the atmosphere, and decide how much to spend once you're there.
Which breweries are pouring?
The line-up pairs four Hong Kong breweries with four guest breweries from Japan:
- Hong Kong: Black Kite Brewery (host), Yardley Brothers, hEROES Beer Co, Deadman Brewery
- Japan: West Coast Brewing, Far Yeast Brewing, Black Tide Brewing, DD4D Brewing
Between them the eight breweries are pouring more than 50 beers across 20 taps, including eight collaboration brews made specifically for the festival — a chance to try beers that won't be on tap anywhere else. Food comes from Chin Teng (noodles and street food) and Sonny's Slice Shop (pizza by the slice), giving festival-goers something to line their stomachs between pours.
What's the music line-up?
Alongside the beer, FLOCKFEST 2026 books 15 of Hong Kong's leading independent musicians to play across the three days, including Biascut, Reggie the Leaf and The Black Lodge Cabaret. PMQ's courtyard sits in the heart of Central's design and retail district, a short uphill walk from both Central and Sheung Wan MTR stations. Check Black Kite Brewery's own site for the confirmed drink-package pricing and set times closer to the festival.
Good to know: because entry itself is free, FLOCKFEST is a low-commitment way to sample craft beer from four Japanese breweries that rarely pour in Hong Kong — arrive on the Saturday for the longest window (noon to 10pm) if you want to catch both the daytime family-friendly atmosphere and the evening band sets.
