For four days every September, the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre turns into Asia's biggest fashion showcase — and, unlike most trade fairs staged there, this one lets anyone walk in for free. CENTRESTAGE, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), returns for its 11th edition from 2 to 5 September 2026, with a record 270 brands, more than 40 events and over 30 runway shows.

In short: CENTRESTAGE 2026 runs 2–5 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), Wan Chaifree admission for the public. It's the 11th edition, bringing together around 270 brands from 24 countries and regions with a record 30-plus runway shows. Highlights include the CENTRESTAGE ELITES opening show by KIT WAN STUDIOS (2 Sept), the Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show (3 Sept) and a new Hype2 pavilion of celebrity and KOL-founded streetwear labels, with its own runway show on 4 September. Nearest MTR is Wan Chai Station, Exit A5, via a covered footbridge.

What is CENTRESTAGE?

CENTRESTAGE is the HKTDC's flagship annual fashion fair, first launched to give Hong Kong and international designer brands a platform to meet buyers, press and the public in one venue. According to HKTDC's official fair information, the 2026 edition is one of the flagship programmes of the third "Hong Kong Fashion Fest" and is sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the HKSAR Government. Per HKTDC's official press release circulated via ACN Newswire on 20 August 2026, this year's fair brings together some 270 brands from 24 countries and regions, with more than 40 events, including over 30 fashion shows — both record highs for the event.

Unlike a typical trade show, CENTRESTAGE keeps its runway shows, talks and exhibition zones open to the public at no charge, alongside the trade-focused booths. It sits alongside the concurrent HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TIME (1–5 September) at the same venue, though those two fairs are trade-only.

Runway shows and highlights to catch

With more than 30 fashion shows across four days, here's what HKTDC has confirmed so far:

Kit Wan is also scheduled to attend in person on 4 September to speak with young designers and design students about breaking into overseas markets.

"CENTRESTAGE is one of the few times a year Hong Kong shoppers get free, front-row access to runway shows that would otherwise require a fashion-week credential."

Thematic zones and what's new this year

CENTRESTAGE 2026 is organised into seven thematic zones: a brand-new Perfume zone gathering niche fragrance labels from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam not yet sold in Hong Kong; Craftsmanship, pairing artisanal technique with fashion design; Contemporary; Urban; Athleisure; Circular Fashion, spotlighting upcycled materials and 3D-printing techniques; and an expanded Accessories zone. First-time exhibiting countries this year include the Faroe Islands, Austria, Slovakia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia and Colombia, per HKTDC's official press release.

If runway shows and designer showcases are your thing, CENTRESTAGE pairs well with a wider look at the city's luxury and boutique shopping scene, or the mall-based "Wear's HK" designer pop-up running across town in the same window.

Getting to HKCEC

HKCEC sits on the Wan Chai waterfront at 1 Expo Drive. From Wan Chai MTR Station, take Exit A5 and follow the covered footbridge signs towards the Convention and Exhibition Centre — the walk takes roughly 10 minutes and is fully sheltered from weather. CENTRESTAGE 2026 uses the Harbour Road entrance; look for HKTDC signage directing visitors to the fashion halls once inside.
