Every guide on this site is checked against the source before it goes live, and mistakes still get through. When we find one, or a reader tells us about it, we fix the page and record it here. This log starts on 25 September 2026; earlier fixes were made without a public record.

25 September 2026 · Chinese edition of the Chung Yeung Festival guide
The Chinese version of our Chung Yeung Festival guide went live on 23 September with corrupted characters in around fifty places (for example 喙 where 喺 was meant, and 掃煩 for 掃墳). Corrected on 25 September, along with the script that produced them. The English page was not affected.
25 September 2026 · Illustrations now labelled
Most article pages open with an AI-generated illustration rather than a photograph of the venue. Those pictures were not labelled as such. Every one now carries a caption saying it is an illustration and not a photo of the place; we are replacing them with real photographs as we visit. Details in how we work.
25 September 2026 · First-person claims removed
A number of the older guides written under our retired pen names contained lines such as "I've eaten at 35 dim sum restaurants" that described visits nobody on the site had made. Those sentences have been rewritten to say only what we can stand behind. Guides that do include a real visit now say who went and when.
17 September 2026 · Pen-name bylines retired
Until September 2026 our sections were written under eight house pen names. They have been replaced sitewide by the Yum Cha Now Editorial byline and the name of the responsible editor. Nothing else on those pages was changed by the byline switch.
September 2026 · Mid-Autumn Lantern Carnival dates
Our Victoria Park Lantern Carnival coverage gave the 2026 dates as 19–27 September. After the Tourism Board added its International Lantern Spectacular the event ran 17–27 September; the page was corrected.
12 August 2026 · 18 Challenge Karting
Our go-karting guide recommended 18 Challenge Karting in Ho Man Tin, which had closed. The venue was removed from the guide the same day and the article now reflects the tracks that are actually open.
